Steps to submit a Whitelist Request for Thru MFT
This page was created to help you submit a whitelist request because one of your customers, vendors, or clients is trying to connect to one of the following Thru hosted internal FTPS/SFTPS hosts:
Site: https://us.thruinc.com/ FTPS/SFTP Host: us-sftps.thruinc.com
Site https://uk.thruinc.com/ FTPS/SFTP Host: uk-sftps.thruinc.com
Site https://eu.thruinc.com/ FTPS/SFTP Host: eu-sftps.thruinc.com
Site https://au.thruinc.com/ FTPS/SFTP Host: au-sftps.thruinc.com
We have 2 ways for a Thru Customer to submit a Whitelist Request. We require this particular request to be documented.
Please email helpcenter@thruinc.com or create a support ticket on our support page.
In the future, we may add additional methods to submit these requests.
If your customer, vendor, or client reaches out to us with a whitelist request, we will ask them to contact you.
We only process Whitelist requests for Thru customers. Before you submit, verify the IPs are valid.
Verify Your List of IPs are Valid
Please check the IP address. If you have issues determining your IPs are valid, please contact your network administrator. It is important to provide Thru the correct information so your vendor, customer, or client can connect successfully without any issues the first time Public IP addresses are assigned by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, and are routable over the Internet. Private IP addresses are not routable over the Internet; they are intended to be used within a facility.
Make sure you are submitting a valid routable public IP address.
Only submit static public IP address.
Make sure the request is for an FTPS/SFTP inbound connection to Thru and not HTTPS
If you provide a subnet it must be below /29 which is 8 IPs. Anything higher like /28 requires evidence that documents your company owns the subnet.
1st way: Email Your Whitelist Request to helpcenter@thruinc.com
Note in the subject of your email the words “Whitelist Request”
List the IPs you wish us to whitelist in the body of the email address.
Include the subnet if you wish to submit a subnet.
Note the Thru URL of the site you log into.
Note the region location: US, UK, EU or AU
Please include your contact information and this includes the name of your company.
Wait for a confirmation after you have sent your email, a ticket will be created by Thru Customer Success and you will be notified that we are working on your request.
Please wait for the whitelisting request to be completed on the next US business day or earlier.
Thru Customer Success will email you via the ticket to notify you the request has been completed and to ask you to test.
Have your vendor, customer, or client test their connection.
Notify Thru Customer Success testing was successfully completed. If you encounter connection issues, please reply and ask for assistance.
