Thru Server 9.3.5 Release Notes March 31 2017

NEW EMAIL WORKFLOW

New simplified email sending workflow is implemented, users can navigate directly to Thru web mail via New Email button, attach local files and send.

New metadata option

NewMessageFieldsEnabled is introduced to toggle panels Message _and _Secure message. File Upload panel is always available.

NewMessageFieldsEnabled integer values:

0 – both message/secure message panels are disabled;
1 – only message panel is available;
2 – both message/secure message panels are available.

PER-MESSAGE PASSWORDS: WHITE LISTED EMAIL DOMAINS LIST

In the mode when per-message password is enabled, email domain whitelist can be used. If whitelist is enabled and non-whitelisted domain is included in the email, senders are forced to set a password on the message.

Links to whitelisted domains are available to recipients with no passwords, links to domains not on the whitelist will require a password. The whitelist feature is toggled by metadata setting MessagePasswordForce , boolean values 0/1.

NEW PROTECTED THRU DROPBOX MODE

New Protected mode is introduced for Thru Dropbox that requires external senders to self -authenticate to get access to Thru Dropbox.

Workflow is identical to protected Thru emails.Feature is toggled by the metadata setting DropboxAuthenticationMode, boolean values 0/1. Default: 0 (Disabled)

USER LANDING DESTINATION CONFIGURATION

User landing destination can be configured. After authentication on the front-page user can be routed to the Dashboard, user home folder or to the New Email screen.

Landing destination is defined by the metadata setting UserLandingDestination, allowed values are 0 – Dashboard, 1 – Home folder, 2 – New Email. Default value: 0

MAKE USER REGISTRATION MESSAGE NEUTRAL

Change messages in User registration notification to neutral text referring to customer web site.

SALESFORCE CONNECTOR: SUPPORT ATTACHMENTS IN CUSTOM OBJECTS

Thru Salesforce connector can now reach attachments in Salesforce custom objects to attach to Thru emails.

IMPROVEMENTS IN PER-MESSAGE PASSWORDS

Per-message password in the web interface can now be up to 255 characters long and is checked against the password policy settings in Administration settings.

DEFAULT EMAIL SUBJECT SETTING

Subject of Thru email can be set to default value using new metadata setting EmailDefaultSubject.
Default: empty string

SAML2.0 SUPPORT FOR MOBILE WEB SITE

SAML support is added to Thru web portal mobile site to enable authentication via ADFS or similar SAML
identity providers.

Bug Fixes

  1. Record Userstring passed in OpenImmutable web service calls to Audit tables for API-based uploads, downloads and deletes.

  2. Spell checkers now work in email body editors such as Thru web email or Salesforce connector email.

  3. Salesforce connector can now obtain Salesforce email templates from custom object.
